The session will be devoted to the connections between basic sciences, their connections with other sciences, innovation and engineering, their contributions to medicine and health, their connections with energy technologies, climate action and protection of the environment, and their contributions to education. The complex phenomena in basic and social sciences, the required evolution of the relationship between science and society, the cross-talk between science and the social media, and the process of preparation and implementation of science policies will be also explored.
